The Rocky Horror Show South African Tour 2013 Brochure | |
back to Collectors Corner back to the Cellar |
The Rocky Horror Show tour in South Africa opened on Wednesday 10th July, 2013 in Cape Town, South Africa The show is at The Fugard Theatre, Caledon Street, District 6, Cape Town, South Africa and at time of page publication is presently booking until 31st October 2013 Click here for more information about the production itself. We've been sent some of the limited merchandise from the tour shown here is the Brochure and we also have news on the Participation Pack as well. The brochure is 26 pages, plus front and back covers, A4 sized (295mm x 210mm, 85/16" x 115/8). Three and half pages are adverts, but the rest of the brochure is packed with information and images. Most of the printing is white or red text on a distressed black background, same look as used on the Participation Pack which gives both items a nice identity with the production. The front cover has the writing in a metallic red lettering which gives the brochure a quality feel and the last page has a nice red and black sillouette of (probably) Frank with the black in gloss against the matt surface of the brochure. Smart. After the main cast and crew overview page there is a nice double spread of the past 40 year's history of the show. followed by a Glossary of the films and actors mentioned in the song Science Fiction Double Feature. Throughout the publication there are loads of images of the show itself and the photography is excellent (and I say that from a professional photographer viewpoint). There are even a couple of pages of images of the rehearsals and props, etc. to add to the fun. Biographies include the production crew as well as the cast and are to say the least comprehensive. Also included is a Participation Guide which unlike the UK includes the use of Confetti. There is also a little note to say "Watch out for the Narrator's speech bubble during the show!" so it looks like they are trying to encourage audience participation a little more. I can see how this would be encouraged as South Africa doesn't have the same amount of tours and the history of the show as we do here in the UK. All in all a lovely collectors item from the show. |
