Back back to the CDs page   Back back to the Cellar

From Tony Head (very well loved stage Frank) comes a new CD album.

Trivia fact: When Tony filmed "Buffy the Vampre Slayer" a much lesser know American actor called 'Tony Head' complained, hence the use of his full name "Anthony Stewart Head". Then again, it is said that the movie "The Madness of King George III" was renamed for the American market as "The Madness of King George" as most Americans would have asked what happened to the first two movies!

Music for ElevatorsOriginal Promotional Release notes:

A unique collaborative project between Anthony Stewart Head, "Giles" on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, and acclaimed electronic producer/composer George Sarah, formerly of T.H.C., MUSIC FOR ELEVATORS is a sophisticated, stylish album with a subtle electronic feel.

Head has garnered international acclaim in numerous theater, film, and TV productions, but is probably best known for his role as "Giles" on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Despite his critical success with acting, Head originally intended to pursue a career in music. He attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and got his first show business break as "Jesus" in GOBSPELL in the West End of London. He also starred in the London stage musical THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW as "Dr. Frank-N-Furter." Most recently his vocal talents have been showcased on occasional episodes of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER.

George Sarah is a highly regarded composer and producer who has worked with many of electronic music's pantheon of talent. Since the launch of his career in 1983, he has gained the attention of national press, released two full-length releases, an EP, and a 12-inch single. His music has been heard in several films and television shows, including a performance of four songs on season four of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER

The combination of Head's accomplished vocals and lyrical brilliance and Sarah's orchestral electronica create a rich and lush sound, accented by contemporary flourishes in the form of samples and organic instrumentation. MUSIC FOR ELEVATORS features guest appearances by additional BUFFY cast members. MUSIC FOR ELEVATORS also includes special contributions by Holly Palmer, Jay Bellerose and Veikko Lepisto.
