Just to let you all know we are still following up on the petition you
all signed early in 2004. We hope to have some news soon as it has been
nearly nine months since we sent the forms in.

Hi Adam - no, don't think it's referring to the tour coming back.
That'll happen in it's own time, which always seems a lot longer than
we want it to!

Have a look throught the What's New pages for 2004 (you can find them
via the main What's New page). This was a petition to get an official
"European Rocky Horror Day". We didn't get enough signatures but I sent
the paperwork in anyway.

Well, that would be just a bit good if that all worked out! Can you
imagine the marketing possibilities? And if that's not enough for them
to get a move on with the tour, i don't know what is!

David, do you think they'll maybe do it anyway? In the whole spirit of Europe thing?

It could happen, just depends on which other nominations they got I
suppose. As it said in the 2004 What's New, lot's of people thought
this was our April Fool gag and didn't bother to add their name to the
petition. Five thousand signatures would have been great, but it wasn't
absolutely essential. We are collecting the post Thursday from the fan
club postal address, so fingers crossed.

Funny you should say that as I have absolutely no recollection of the
petition - must've bypassed it thinking it was an April Fools! Gah!
Sorry...! (Or maybe I did and I just can't remember?) Hey ho. A Rocky
Horror day would be fun though!

This is *really* going to annoy my nan. She doesn't *do* Rocky Horror.
Just think of all the Rocky-ites that'll be outed through the press!

Sorry, but it is an April Fool. I only promissed it wasn't the 2004
April Fool gag, not this years one. There were several people in on the
gag, Amy included. I've already had to answer several emails about this
one. Hope you all took it in the spirit of fun it was inteneded in!!!

I thought April Fools pranks were supposed to be pulled by 12pm on the
day or bad luck befalls the prankster? As it's now... 3rd April... you
guys are in for 2 and a half days bad luck! (Not that I'm superstitious
or anything!)

I think TWW
means "the spirit of fun in which it was intended".... yes the old
double bluff was a good one! though I think Nikki is quite right about
the 12 noon thing... I opted not to do a Rockyscot April Fool this year
as I couldn't think of anything. However as I was at a Rocky pub night
(to which only 1 person I knew came!) on the 31st till 2.30am I then
texted all the absentees to tell them I'd just spent 3 hours in
casualty having broken my arm. Got at least 2 of them, hook line and
sinker. Next year, a return to full service! Em xxx

David, you are so the man when it comes to classic April Fool's pranks,
and I look forward to them every year (whether I'm in on them or not).
The elaborate lengths you went to this time was superb, and the
inclusion of fake 2004 "What's New" entries was inspired. Now I have a
genuine challenge for you in 2005. As one of those afformentioned
"What's New" entries said you were starting the year (2004) off by
attempting the impossible (ie: the Euro Petition scam), how about
starting this year by actually giving a Rocky Horror London a nudge in
the right direction and getting us our show back? The thought of a new
UK tour starting any time soon is really beginning to feel a lot more
unlikely than the possibility of the EU voting in favour of a genuine
European Rocky Horror Day.
