Message: I've not been on for a while. It's too painful when Rocky is not touring in the UK. But I had to get a fix and was thrilled to see an insertion by Amnada Jane Manning. Lovely to hear she is ok. Would love to know what she is doing now, but there's no e-mail link for her. Any one know what he's upto now? She was my favourite phantom, and my daughter's incidentally. Love to you Amanda if you read this. muah-muah. All the best, hope to see you on stage soon, as Janet or in another production. xxx

Message: In response to the Guest Book comments made by Jo, about THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW WHOLE GORY STORY recording, I'd just like to say that this particular album was an idea by Richard O'Brien to present the London Piccadilly Theatre's 1990 ROCKY HORROR stage revival as a kind of ROCKY HORROR radio play, including all the dialogue as well as the songs (instead of the usual Cast Recording). The script featured is pretty much the way it was then, apart from a few added explanations for visual cues etc. The ROCKY script continued to evolve through it's life, from the Theatre Upstairs, to the King's Road, to LA, to the West End, to Broadway, to tours, to Hanley, to London revival, to the 25th Anniversary, and back to Broadway). It is the opinion of many fans that Tim McInnerny, although an excellent actor, was the wrong performer for the part of Frank. I personally feel that the album, while it does lack a certain energy (a problem rectified on the 1998 'Live!' recording with Jason Donovan) it does feature some great arrangements of the songs, and some very talented performers (Linda Davidson is a fabulous Columbia, Gina Bellman is great as Janet, and Ade Edmondson does his best), and it also has Jonathan Adams reprising his original 1973 role of Narrator (surely that's worth the cover price alone). Yes, I agree with the majority, the Piccadilly show did improve with Anthony Head's outstanding Frank-N-Furter, and the superb Zalie Burrow as Janet, but the recording features the original Piccadilly Cast, and rightly so. As for "Don't buy it", well I'd buy any ROCKY HORROR album (or any other merchandise for that matter) simply because it's ROCKY - I get all the Cast Recordings I can (good or bad, UK or Foreign), and seeing as how the CD in question is over ten years old, I think a hell of a lot of fans will have bought it already (I have it on a vinyl double-LP, and on CD twice with two different covers. Anything ROCKY HORROR is welcome in my beloved collection).
Just one more thing... This year's lack of ROCKY is torture. Roll on 2002; WE WANT OUR SHOW BACK!!
