Message: Howdy all, I saw rocky horror show in manchester on friday at the 6:30 showing, had never seen it live before, and, all i can say is WOW!!! it blew me away, the quality of it all, and i have to agree with person below, the bed scene was great, it wa great acting too how the actors moved in it and it felt like watching it from above, serious kudos on that scene. also, there was a guy there who was a mega fan, had a jacket with loads of badges on it, he was brilliant and from him i have learnt a few back lines to shout next time i see it (hopefully i'm gonna get last minuite tickets to the liverpool showing - touch wood) anyhoo, it was great... nuff sed Kristoff

Message: Went to see Rocky Horror on Friday in Manchester, it was the first time ive seen it at the theatre, but i love the film.
I think it was the best thing i have ever seen, so much better than the film.
Loved the singin and dancing, and the audience participation, but the only thing i knew was to shout out Slut and Arsehole wen Janet and Brads name was said, thats it
Im trying to pursuade my friends to go to the next one, but not having any luck...
I wanna dress more daring next time, maybe as Frank
Keep up the good work everyone who was involved with the show, actors, band, set designers everyone.
Bye Bye

Message: Re - Wimbledon Theatre. I myself must apologize for the email as rereading it, I too came across a little heavy handed. I know also of people caught out that night by another agent other than the one you mention and taking it out on the staff. The staff there do indeed do a great job and I have fond memories of the place over the years of Rocky. Apologizes.
TWW: I agree, never take it out on the front of house staff, they don't have much to do with bookings and times. Do always write a polite letter to the theatre management or booking agents to point out that a problem such as this happened as it helps them to ensure it doesn't occur again.

Check your facts before slagging off Wimbledon Theatre. The theatre has ALWAYS had this time of 20.30pm stated on their tickets if you brought from them. May I suggest that you brought from a theatre agent such as LAST MINUTE.COM who screwed up the times of BOTH shows that day...

TWW: Thank you. I would have liked to send you a personal reply, but as you left neither a name or an email address I'll have to do it via this page.
I wasn't intending to 'slag off' Wimbledon Theatre itself, if it came across as such then I apologise. I happen to like the theatre and the helpful staff it employs, especially as it is the first place I ever saw RHS back on the Hanley tour. In fact they kindly let us in at 8.40pm even though the show had already started.
Your suggestion that I bought my tickets from a theatre agent is correct. I bought them from Ticketmaster back in November. Ticketmaster are of course the company that Wimbledon Theatre uses for it's online booking service linked from their own web pages. We were not the only ones with tickets that showed the start time as 8.45pm for the Saturday show, we spoke to at least six people on the night with the same time printed on their tickets. So then somewhere there was a lack of communication as far as some of the online sales were concerned, as you pointed out at least one more online company also had the wrong times printed.
I think the lesson to learn is always check the start times of the shows nearer the night itself, we'll certainly be double checking in future.

TWW: I've cut a message here about the new show, as it was annonymous. |
