2021 Picnic Booking Details.
The 2021 Picnic sold out by the end of Wednesday 2nd September 2020, however you can still get onto the waiting list in case anyone decides to cancel between now and the event.
Priority Booking was open from 10.00am, 25th August to 5pm, 1st September for those Attendees who had a live reservation with Oakley Court for the 2020 Picnic package on the 30th June 2020. The date we had to cancel the 2020 event. General reservations opened at 9.00 am 2nd September, 2020. As there are now no rooms left, you will be added to the Waiting List. If/When a room becomes available, if you are next on the list, Oakley Court will contact you direct to offer the chance to take up the vacancy. If you don't, it moves to the next name on the list and so on.
PLEASE NOTE - this has not changed but we would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone that this is very much a first come, first served event as it has always been. Allocation/cost is for a standard twin room, and these are limited in number, and different rooms attract an upgrade cost. This will be explained to you when you ring to make your reservation.
You cannot book for the Picnic Package on the web, it has to be via Reservations on the phone.
A cancellation policy applies of 90 days before the date of the event, this will be explained to you on reservation.
Finally, please be aware, 2019 and 2020 were sold out at 200 attendees. At one point before the impact of the virus and Lockdown, there were an additional 100 people on the Waiting list for 2020. From feedback from attendees and our own observations, we feel that 200 is too big an event and we were too packed in the screening room in 2019. It was crowded and not really enjoyable, and it was, quite frankly, overwhelming. By the end of June 2020 when we cancelled this year, we were well under 200, so for 2021 and going forward we have limited the event at 150 attendees. This also ensures we still have space for a wet weather option, should there be heavy, dark and pendulous storm clouds.
There is one questions that we are asked every year at the Picnic Show.......When will the next one be? Well the answers is...... Sunday, 29th August 2021.
The TimeWarp picnic is your chance to meet up with friends old and new and the one day each year when we can all wear our costumes around the hotel without a problem. We do ask that people cover up the more revealing costumes in the more public areas of the hotel and you won't get to wear them in the restaurant either - although in 2010 we did use it for the movie screening, so that was the exception!
Booking is now open for the Timewarp Rocky Horror Picnic at Oakley Court, 2021. Phone the hotel and quote "TimeWarp Picnic". The price for the 2021 event is £290 per standard room. That gets you accomodation for two for the Sunday night, all the food and (soft) drinks for the Picnic itself and (a rather nice!) breakfast the next day. We are also planning to have another late night screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show as part of the fun. Get to watch the house on the movie while in the house that is on the movie! Remember the cost is per room - not per person, so two people sharing would pay just £145 each to stay at Oakley Court and attend the picnic. Oakley Court also have some executive level rooms/suites available, but there will be an additional cost for those. The event limit is now 150, this is the maximum we can fit into standby area in case of wet weather for the picnic itself. Luckily we have only had to use that three times over the years.

Please Note: The hotel have now updated their reservation policy. Several people were booking for the picnic each year and cancelling at the last moment. Although the hotel ran a waiting list and managed to fill all the places in 2018, it was unfair on not only those that could not take up the waiting list places due to it being too last minute, but also on the hotel staff who were spending days trying to organise the list. The hotel have now moved to a more standard booking procedure for events. You can book up to a year ahead for the picnic still, however any cancellations less than three months before the event will be charged at the full rate. (In cases of medical emergencies, bereavements, etc. do contact the hotel directly to see what they can do to help with the booking.)
The hotel love having TimeWarp and the Picnic there each year and you don't even have to be a member of the fan club to book, the event is open to all fans of Rocky who want to book.
