That was the year that was, the best bits of 2005:

We finally got to tell the world the Stage Show would return in 2006 after being sworn to secrecy by Richard early in the year.
We had our 800,000th actual site vistor this year
The TimeWarp site moved to dedicated servers allowing us our own Forum, Chat Room, Postcards, Site Search and other great new features. We also got a hundred times more web space to play with and huge bandwidth allowances.
Rocky Horror Show was voted people's choice at the Royal Court Theatre's 50th year celebrations.
New Galleries of Oakley Court and Less Vunerable added to the site.
Lot's of new merchandise products added to the site
including the Mick Rock Rocky Horror Book and the Rocky Horror Trivia game

Shockwave Flash play on-line games added to the site.

The not so good bits:

Jonathan Adams and Imogene Claire passed away in June
Apart from the Nick Rock book and Trivia game the 30th anniversary of the Picture Show wasn't really celebrated and Fox missed out on a rerelease of the DVD

31.12.05 A Saturday update with another tomorrow. We've added a page of information about EUROCKY convention to the Notice Board section as well as the Calendar section. The three day convention will take place in Amsterdam during August 2006 and will be the first European convention to take place on the mainland of Europe (Transylvania and the other UK conventions were also attended by many fellow Europeans) Also remember The Candy Box Burlesque from fan club rep Saffron Shearer-Gare will take place in February. Not a Rocky event as such, but well worth a visit. Hedwig Notice updated with a tour date for early January The National Film Registry in the USA has added the Rocky Horror Picture Show to it's list of movies to preserve forever (or at least until global warming wipes us all out). Thanks to Nick Bletzer for the link. We've redesigned the Miscellanous section of the Cellar to enable a feature we started work on a while back. For those items that are no longer on sale we have opened up the Collectors Corner section. It also means we can have some very weird links to items that have found their way into some collections. Crystal Maze book anyone? Rocky Horror Company have their new look site for the next tour live now. Isn't it amazing how the eyes seem to follow your mouse around the room? No more information on Cast yet but rest assured we'll let you know as soon as any cast are confirmed. Check out the Tour Dates page for a list of the venues for the new 2006 UK tour of The Rocky Horror Show. Please note: a lot of the theatres are not yet selling tickets on-line, but they are via the Box Office numbers. The festive Poll for December ends tonight as does our Competition for this month. As it's Christmas, we also have a CD and Limited Edition vinyl disc for each of our two winners for December from The Fleiss which features a sample of Richard O'Brien himself. Our Links page now has a graphic to download for you to link direct to the TimeWarp Forums, feel free to add a link to your own web sites. +TV, +GB

There are some new Singalonga screenings added to the Tour Dates page, there are also a couple of venues that are no longer showing on their site. To answer a few emails in one go while we are on the subject. Although several Singalonga screenings are happening at theatres where the tour will be in 2006, despite the ticket prices Singalonga IS NOT a version of the stage show. It is a commercial version of the traditional fan audience partipation for RHPS with their addition of words for the songs projected below the screen. Like a lot of movie audience participation, Singalonga organised talk back lines are not going to work with the stage tour. +TV, +GB

09.10.05 Mini Update: Once again we are getting virus laden email messages aimed at timewarp.org.uk, 28 in the last 3 hours to be exact. These messages all have the original ip address in even though the identity of the sender is faked and I have advised the hosting company they came from of this abuse (eircom.net).

We've had a couple of emails reach our virus filter with our own web site address faked in the header. It is common practice for spammers and viruses to fake email addresses, but this is the first one to fake our address for a while. For more information please read our FAQ. 12.06.05 Not a huge site update as such as I am spending all my time sorting out the site for the new server. I will be changing the main font for the site as Times is looking a little tired after nearly nine years use. We are moving the site to a new server over the next two weeks, our new servers should give us 100x the web space to play with and fabby new scripting and web options. The backup TimeWarp Mirror Site is now up and running. Please continue to use the normal www.timewarp.org.uk web address unless for any reason you cannot access the site, in that case please use the mirror at www.time-warp.org.uk. This page is hosted on the new server, if you can read this text everything has worked on the transfer! Spamalot Cast Recording starring Tim Curry is updated in the Cellar our Merchandise section. Nice new image of Tim added and a quick review. There is also an online buying link for this product added. Our Competition for June continues. and the results from our May Poll are now on-line. The Poll for June has also now begun, this time around we just want you to let us know what you like and dislike in the world of Rocky Horror. +GB, +TV

15.05.05 The Oakley Court section is updated with loads more images, including some interior shots and some large Griffin images.I have also moved the Oakley Court page into it's own section of the site, so if you have it bookmarked, you will need to reset to the new page. This also means that the entire site gets a navigation update and this also gives me a chance to fix a couple of broken links. Don't forget that Patricia Quinn will be attending a signing in London on Saturday May 21st, 2005. Also now added to the site is our latest feature in the Games Room, Rocky Horror related Crossword Puzzles. The first crossword is now added and you can fill it in on-line. So it's a small update this week after last weeks mega-update. We've loads more images of the Hotel to add to the site in the near future as well. Fixed small bug in Guest Book that lost the senders name! +TV, +GB

01.05.05 The Rocky Horror Trivia Show game will be released later this year, probably around August time to tie-in with the 30th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. 03.04.05 Amazing news!!!! We have got a letter from The European Parliament saying that from 2006, June 16th will be "European Rocky Horror Day"!!! For full details visit the original Euro Petition page here, where you can see that this was a rather organised April 1st gag! Thanks to all those that helped on this one. I've taken out the fake 2004 What's New entries and added them to the page as well. Yeah OK there was two April Fool gags on the site, that's right there was no Television show called "The Great April Fools Gag" with Tim and Barry. There was a clue in as much as there is no "Sky Movies Cartoon Premier channel", well not yet there isn't. Well done to all those that spotted the April Fool this year. Our Competition and monthly Poll for April have now begun. Results from last month and winners names are also now on-line. +TV, +GB

01.04.05 12.01pm. Yeah OK it was an April Fool, that's right there was no Television show called "The Great April Fools Gag" with Tim and Barry. There was a clue in as much as there is no "Sky Movies Cartoon Premier channel", well not yet there isn't. Well done to all those that spotted the April Fool this year. 01.04.05 Amazing news!!!! We have got a letter from The European Parliament saying that from 2006, June 16th will be "European Rocky Horror Day"!!! For full details visit the original Euro Petition page here. Our Competition and monthly Poll for March have now ended, a new Poll and Competition will start later today. Tim Curry and Barry Bostwick provide voice overs for the animated film "The Great April Fools Gag", appropriately being show this Friday 1st April on the Sky Movies Cartoon Premier channel. This little know British movie from 2003 was originally meant to go straight to video, but was pulled so it could get a premier on the new channel from Sky. We had a preview DVD but they wouldn't let me add it to the Cellar as it was "contents subject to change", so it will be interesting to see if the movie has changed from the version we have. The plot is your basic U certificate family style movie....a young kid tries to get his parents back together by playing an elaborate April 1st prank. Barry provides the voice of the estranged dad and Tim provides the voice of the manager in the posh hotel where the joke takes place, similar to his role in Home Alone 2 isn't it, well it makes a change from him playing the devil I suppose. See the Television Listings for times and videoplus codes.

20.03.05 There's a nice new image from Rachel Sims added to the Gallery section of the site. We now have well over 300 images listed on the all the Gallery pages, with over 60 in the main Gallery alone. Flash Gordon - Space Soldiers UK DVD Box Setis added to the Movies of Science Fiction Double Feature section of the Cellar. This is the original thirties serial shown in cinemas as a cliff-hanger serial now available on DVD. Great fun (alchohol optional) to leave running in the background at parties. Our monthly Competition and Poll for March end later this week. What does your Rocky Horrorscope hold in store for the March? Only a few days left to see if Mystic Magenta knows her stuff. An update on January 2004's efforts. We are hoping to hear the results of last years campaign to the European parliament soon, thanks to all that took part. Just to let you know we hadn't given up on it, but the wheels of politics turn very slowly. For the few people that weren't visiting the site early in 2004 a quick recap. The European Parliament ran a scheme for nominations for new "European whatever Day", we suggested that there should be a European Rocky Horror Day as Rocky has had such a huge significance on culture. When we finally got the pages and pages of forms from them we decided the best way to show how much support there was for the day was to run a petition. We didn't hit the target of 5,000 signatures required, missing it by just over 50! I wasn't going to make names up as they said they would randomly check entries on the petition.Anyway, we sent the forms in and a couple of weeks ago a couple of the people that signed contacted us to say that they had received letters from a European Culture Department official to check if there names were genuine. We are crossing our fingers for an official letter to arrive at the Fan Club address!!!!! You can see the original timescale of this in the 2004 What's New page, look at the start of the year. +TV, +GB

20.03.05 There are some new requests for merchandise in the Notice Board section of the site. Our monthly Competition and Poll for March continue, results from last month are also now on-line. We've suspended the monthly polls section for the moment as they were hosted on another server that proved to be too unreliable. They will return after a planned upgrade to the site later this year.
