That was the year that was, the best bits of 2006:

The Stage Show returned! And with one of the best productions for a long time.
We had our 1,000,000th site vistor and had 600,000 visits to the site in 2006 alone
Shock Treatment got released on DVD for the first time here in the UK (although the USA disc had better features). There was also the amazing RHPS/ST double disc Lips Box Set released this year.
Tim Curry came to the UK for the first time in many years and starred in Spamalot.
Fans were invited to the rehearsals for the Rocky Horror Show and timewarp.org.uk had a gallery of our images from the Dress Rehearsals online. Images from the fans was a huge success.
The Rocky Horror Tribute Show took place at the Royal Court Theatre, original venue for the show. Little Nell flew in to be there with Richard O'Brien, Pat Quinn, Sue Blane and many other starts. RHCo gave 21 fan club members a chance to win tickets! It was the best night of the year.
TimeWarp celebrated our 18th year as the official UK Rocky Horror Fan club in style. Rocky Horror Company did an additional performance of the stage show in London with tickets priced at only £19.73 (1973 gettit?)
TimeWarp held the first Rocky Horror Picnic Show at Oakley Court, complete with film screening introduced by Richard O'Brien himself!
The Denton Affair, the first fan run convention in the UK since 1999 took place in Manchester with loads of Guests.
Fan club rep Saffy and husband Al became parents.

The not so good bits:

The police having to be called to a theatre to remove a fan that refused to leave when requested to!
Not many fan led screenings of the movie this year.

17.09.06 We've now received our copies of the USA region 1 release of Shock Treatment on DVD and I've added a review to our Shock Treatment pages. This disc is a great addition to any collection as it features so much more in the way of extra features than the May 2006 UK release. It's what we should have had to start! The UK tour of The Rocky Horror Show is at the Sunderland Empire this week. At the moment we're still waiting to hear who the Narrator will be. We hope to have a list of Narrators very soon, but do drop us an email or post in the forums if you find out before we do! Again there are more Images from the Fans added to the Tour section. We've also added some more Narrator biographies. The late Saturday show at Canterbury had to be cancelled as too many of the cast were off ill and there was no-one left to cover the roles. This is very rare, but has happened before. As I am sure you know, a performance will only ever be cancelled if there is absolutely no way of covering the main characters. 28.07.06 Five new movie screenings at the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas on the Isle of Man, Sundays July to August 2006. This isn't a performing cast show as such and it's not run by "singalonga" either , however there is an introduction to the movie and characters from the film included in the £18.50 to £20.50 admission cost.

27.06.06 Narrators for the London dates announced. Steve Pemberton - him of the Royal Court performance and League of Gentlemen - is first for week one. It then passes to the lovely Nigel Planer, week two. Finally, the Big Book moves to Roger Lloyd-Pack - last seen commanding the Cybermen on Alternative Earth in Doctor Who. It is also now confirmed that Andy Gray will be the narrator for the Glasgow and Aberdeen tour venues. We have been asked if there would be any Fans out there who would be interested to dress up, and flyer passers by around central London, and the Playhouse itself, leading up to and through the three week London stint. There is the opportunity to really phsych up the general public, show them what a good time we all have - answer any questions they may have about the wonderful world of Rocky Horror and allay any uncertainties - and generally be passionate about the Show to newbies - get them to come along! We have been told this can be done on the evenings, or during the day (should you so wish) or at the weekends, but generally to get the Rocky word out there! As a thank you, those who participate will be given a Freedom Pass to attend the London Rocky Shows, valid for as many times as you wish to go - free of charge. If you are seriously interested, please email TimeWarp at LondonRocky@TimeWarp.org.uk - we need full name, address and day time contact number - and we will pass everything on to the people who want to know and either Christine or Martin will contact you direct to firm up arrangements to suit you. This is a great opportunity and if you were wondering how you were going to fund a three week run in the West End... look no further... We're counting on you chaps!

19.03.06 Well the first week of the new tour is now over and what a week it was! There are several very active threads on the TimeWarp Forums about the new production. Most people we spoke to at the shows really enjoyed the new style of the show. The one thing that many people seemed a little upset about on the Thursday night was the lack of a Time Warp at the end as an encore, however on last nights show (Saturday) this was back, as was the Usherette on stage for the reprise of Science Fiction Double Feature. As with every new production it is going to take a little while to get used to changes. I recall similar comments about how the Piccadilly production was too different from the Hanley tour when that started and that production proved to be one of the best loved. I am sure this production will also prove to be one of the best we've seen. The Lab our dedicated UK Rocky Horror Show tour page is updated with a new section, Fans at the Show. We've uploaded some of our images of the fans on the opening night at Brighton as well as some that have been sent in to us. 01.01.06 Happy New Year from all of us here at TimeWarp. Most of the big updates for this week happened yesterday but here's one more that we've been saving for the new year. As the Rocky Horror Company site no longer lists the previous tour information including the galleries, we have archived two hundred and fifteen of the images here on the TimeWarp site. Before anyone screams copyright at me you may have noticed a lot of the UK images on their site had my initials on (DMF) as I took most of the shots that appeared on their web site for them. Part of the deal was I got to put the images on TimeWarp when they were no longer used on the RHCo site. It's nice to preserve these images on the net and help keep some great memories alive. Click here for the Images Gallery or just click on the new link on our main Gallery page. A new Competition for January has now started. Once again we have a CD and Limited Edition vinyl disc for each of our two winners for January from The Fleiss which features a sample of Richard O'Brien himself. A new Poll has now started with the results from last month also now on-line.
